An Nyeong Ha Seyo Korea!

16 May - 31 December 2007
Singapore Philatelic Museum

Singapore Philatelic Museum launches "An Nyeong Ha Seyo Korea!" exhibition for children to discover Korea through stamps.   Featuring the museum's collection of Korean stamps, authentic objects from Korea, hands- on exhibits, pictures, and narratives, the exhibition introduces the heritage and culture of Korea to children.

Find out the significance of major traditional customs and the kinds of festive food, and games loved by children. Learn to play 'yut' (traditional board game), assemble 'hanguel' letters (Korean alphabet) to form words, see beautiful 'hanbok' (traditional costume) and interesting Korean tableware and cutlery!

School Programmes
School children can find out about Korean heritage and culture during school programmes conducted by the museum's education staff.  Kindergarten children will have the opportunity to try on traditional female and male 'hanbok'.  Kindergarten and primary school children can have fun and learn to play the large-sized 'yut' (board game), 'jaegi-chagi' (shuttlecock), and 'konggi' (five stones) games.

Teachers should contact Lily Samuel at Tel: 6433-347 / 6337-3888 or E-mail: Lily_Samuel@nhb.gov.sg to book these school programmes.
