National Stamp Collecting Competition 2010

For Schools


SPM is organising the National Stamp Collecting Competition in September 2010. In the competition, participants use stamps and philatelic materials to explore a variety of topics such as nature, science and culture. Participants will gain learning and thinking skills such as language development, organisation, writing and research. Top winners stand to win awards, and their winning entries will be displayed.

Colours of Heritage, A Travelling Exhibition is brought to you by the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts (MICA) and National Heritage Board (NHB).

This novel museum on wheels showcases an exciting offering of traditional games, food preparation techniques and ethnic fabrics. Travelling to schools, kindergartens, HDB heartlands, regional libraries, and community clubs, this unique bus loaded with historical goodies in the form of educational panels, eye-catching props and interactive multimedia displays will have something for everyone to enjoy! Pre-School Programmes

SPM is an excellent venue to start pre-schoolers aged 4 to 6 years on museum education. Its child-friendly environment offers ample opportunities for hands-on learning under close supervision by education staff.
