You've Got Mail! Postcard Contest

In the spirit of the opening of You've Got Mail!, Singapore Philatelic Museum invites visitors to be inspired to get creative and design their own postcard on the theme "You've Got Mail'.  Stand to win cash prizes of up to S$500!  Winners will be announced in July 2018 on www.spm.org.sg and images of winning entries will also be posted online.

  • There will be two categories: Student Category (7-18 years old) and Adult Category
  • Postcard size to be no bigger than A5.  Blank postcards can be store bought or handmade.
  • Each entry must be a stamped postcard delivered by Singapore Post
  • The postcard must not be enclosed in an envelope or any protective coverings of sort
  • Computer-generated artworks will not be accepted
  • Postcard must be MAILED to:

    by Sunday, 17 June 2018.
  • NAME, AGE & CATEGORY, EMAIL & MAILING ADDRESSES are to be neatly written on the back of the postcard
  • Incomplete details on postcards will be disqualified
  • Winners will be notified by email

  • One entry per person, open to all residing in Singapore only.
  • Prizes are non-exchangeable and non-replaceable; whether in whole or in part
  • Winners must collect their prizes by the given stipulated date on the email.
  • By entering the contest, an entrant indicates his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  • Singapore Philatelic Museum reserves the rights to amend the Terms & Conditions, reject incomplete, offensive or irrelevant postcard entries.

National Stamp Collecting Competition

The National Stamp Collecting Competition is open to Primary School and Secondary School students.  Students work in groups of four to submit philatelic exhibits and narratives, based on a theme of their choice such as nature, culture and technology.  The competition sharpens students' learning and thinking skills, language development, writing, research and creativity.

Winning entries will be displayed at The Plaza, National Library from 15-17 August 2018.

Draw My Stamp Story Art Competition

Draw My Stamp Story Art Competition - Primary School Category - Individual

Draw My Stamp Story Art Competition is open to Primary School students.  The objective of the competition is to incorporate an unused stamp (minimum one or maximum three) into the artwork and create a background to complement it.   Work is to be submitted on an A4 sized drawing block.

Draw My Stamp Story Art Competition - Secondary School Category - Individual

Draw My Stamp Story Art Competition is open to Secondary School students.  The theme is 'Flying to the Stars'.  Work is to be submitted on an envelope (maximum A5 size) which must be handed over to the museum.  Fanciful lettering or calligraphy style wordings must be used to address the envelope to: Singapore Philatelic Museum, 23-B Coleman Street, Singapore 179807.  A minimum of one stamp or a maximum of three unused stamps can be used.

Winning entries will be displayed at The Plaza, National Library from 15-17 August 2018.
